You are blind! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?

Exodus 29:37

For seven days you are to make atonement for the altar and set it apart as holy. Then the altar will be most holy. Anything that touches the altar will be holy.

Exodus 30:29

So you are to sanctify them, and they will be most holy; anything that touches them will be holy.

He made the incense altar of acacia wood. Its length was a foot and a half and its width a foot and a half -- a square -- and its height was three feet. Its horns were of one piece with it.
