And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
“I assure you,” Jesus said to him, “tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times!”
Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter.
So Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
“Will you lay down your life for Me? I assure you: A rooster will not crow until you have denied Me three times.
Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was full of remorse and returned the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders.
“Simon, Simon, look out! Satan has asked to sift you like wheat.
For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh.
For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it.
1 Corinthians 4:7
For who makes you so superior? What do you have that you didn’t receive? If, in fact, you did receive it, why do you boast as if you hadn’t received it?
Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle
spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won’t be tempted.
1 Peter 1:5
You are being protected by God’s power
through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
But if the spot remains where it is and does not spread, it is only the scar from the boil. The priest is to pronounce him clean.
