And, in their terror of him, the men on guard trembled violently and became like dead men.

And, when I saw him, I fell at his feet like one dead. He laid his hand on me and said-- 'Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last,

"You may have a guard," was Pilate's reply; "go and make the tomb as secure as you can."

While on his journey, as he was nearing Damascus, suddenly a light from the heavens flashed around him.

Calling for a light, the Governor rushed in, and flung himself trembling at the feet of Paul and Silas.
