And the rest of the men, who were not killed with these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship the demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk;





Nay, but I say that the things which the gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God; and I do not wish you to become partakers with the demons.

And they worshiped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast, and who is able to make war with him?"


Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the Devil, as a roaring lion, is going about, seeking whom he may devour;

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath; neither give place to the Devil.

Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil;

Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.


Ye are of your father the Devil; and the desires of your father ye wish to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own; because he is a liar, and the father of it.

In this are manifest the children of God and the children of the Devil: every one that does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that does not love his brother;

The field is the world: and the good seed, these are the sons of the Kingdom; but the tares are the sons of the evil one;

said, "O full of all guile, and all villainy, son of the Devil, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the right ways of the Lord?
