And Joash did what was right in the sight of Jehovah all the days of Jehoiada the priest.
And Jehoiada grew old and was full of days, and he died; he was a hundred and thirty years old when he died.

However there were not made for the house of Jehovah basons of silver, knives, bowls, trumpets, nor any utensil of gold or utensil of silver, of the money that was brought into the house of Jehovah; but they gave that to the workmen, and repaired the house of Jehovah with it. And they did not reckon with the men into whose hand they gave the money to be bestowed on workmen; for they dealt faithfully. The money of trespass-offerings, and the money of sin-offerings, was not brought into the house of Jehovah: it was for the priests.

And Athaliah rent her garments, and said, Conspiracy! Conspiracy! And Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of the hundreds that were set over the host, and said to them, Lead her forth without the ranks; and whosoever follows her, let him be slain with the sword; for the priest said, Ye shall not put her to death in the house of Jehovah. And they made way for her, and she went through the entrance of the horse-gate into the king's house, and they put her to death there. And Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and all the people and the king, that they should be the people of Jehovah. And all the people went into the house of Baal, and broke it down; and they broke his altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
