And having heard that Archelaus reigned over Judea, instead of Herod his father, he was afraid to go there; and having received intimation of the divine will in a dream, he turned back into the parts of Galilee. And having come, he dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be completed spoken by the prophets, That he shall be called a Nazarite.


And the crowds said, This is Jesus, the prophet, from Nazareth of Galilee.

And Jesus said to them, What things? And they said to him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarite, who was a man, a prophet, powerful in work and words before God and all the people:

Let alone; what to us and thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy of God.

And they announced to him, That Jesus the Nazarite passes by.

And having heard that it is Jesus the Nazarite, he began to cry, and to say, Son of David, O Jesus, compasaionate me.

Saying, Let alone; what to us and thee, Jesus Nazarene? hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy of God.


And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (for he was of the house and family of David :)

And Nathanael said to him, Can any good be from Nazareth? Philip says to him, Come and see.
