Nehemiah 10:32

"We also take on ourselves the obligation to give yearly a third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God:

The LORD said to Moses,

and this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God's house. And of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you."

Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce;

When they came to Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma tax went up to Peter and said, "Does your teacher not pay the tax?"

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
