Then rose I by night, I, and a few men with me, I having told no man, what, my God, had been putting in my heart, to do for Jerusalem, - and, beast, was there none with me, save the beast on which, I myself, was riding.

So Gideon took ten men from among his servants, and did as Yahweh had spoken unto him, - and so it was that, as he too much feared the house of his father, and the men of the city, to do it by day, he did it by night.

Now, therefore, up by night, thou and the people that are with thee, and lie in wait in the field;

Blessed be Yahweh, God of our fathers, - who hath put the like of this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of Yahweh, which is in Jerusalem;

Do good, in thy good-pleasure, unto Zion, Wilt thou build the walls of Jerusalem!

Ask ye for the peace of Jerusalem, They shall prosper, who love thee!

A time to rend, and a time to sew, - A time to be silent, and a time to speak;

For, this, is the covenant which I will solemnize with the house of Israel after those days Declareth Yahweh, I will put my law within them, Yea, on their heart, will I write it, - So will I become their God, And they shall become my people.

And I will solemnise to them an age-abiding covenant, That I will not turn away from following them, to do them good, - But the reverence of myself, will I put in their heart, so that they shall not turn away from me.

Therefore, the prudent man, at that time, will be dumb, - Because an evil time, it is!

Do not trust in a friend, do not put confidence in an associate, - from her that lieth in thy bosom, keep thou the doors of thy mouth;

Be not deceived, my brethren beloved: -

For, God, hath put into their hearts, to do his mind, and to do one mind, - and to give their sovereignty unto the wild-beast, until the words of God shall be completed.

And he arose in that night and took his two wives, and his two handmaids, and his eleven sons, - and pressed over the ford of Jabbok.

So then Joshua came in unto them, suddenly, - all the night, came he up, from Gilgal.

And, he, arising, took unto him the child and its mother, by night, and retired into Egypt;

Lo! I, send you forth as sheep amidst wolves; become ye therefore - prudent, as serpents, and simple, as doves.

Thanks, however, unto God! - who is putting the same earnestness in your behalf in the heart of Titus,
