Nehemiah 7:2

Opposition To The Completed Wall

¹ And it happened when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were chosen, ² I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem. For he was a faithful man, and feared God above many. ³ And I said to them, Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot. And while they stand by, let them shut and bar the doors. And set guards from the people of Jerusalem, each one in his watch, and each one to be across from his house.
