So they went up, and spied out the land from the wilderness of Zin to Rehob, to the entrance of Hamath.

Abram traveled, going on still toward the Negev.

Abram went up out of Egypt: he, his wife, all that he had, and Lot with him, into the Negev.

and it went out southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and passed along to Zin, and went up by the south of Kadesh Barnea, and passed along by Hezron, went up to Addar, and turned about to Karka;

The mountain

They rose up early in the morning, and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, "Behold, we are here, and will go up to the place which the LORD has promised: for we have sinned."

Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and they fell there, and those who remained fled to the hills.

The Amorites, who lived in that hill country, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and beat you down in Seir, even to Hormah.

Afterward the children of Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites who lived in the hill country, and in the Negev, and in the lowland.
