Balaam And The Angel

22 God became angry that he was going. So the angel of Jehovah stood in the road to stop him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, accompanied by his two servants. 23 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way with his drawn sword in his hand, the donkey turned off from the way and went into the field; but Balaam struck the donkey to turn her back into the way. 24 Where the road went through the vineyards, it was narrow, with stonewalls on both sides. Now the angel of Jehovah stood there.
