Numbers 3:16

Aaron's Sons

¹⁵ Number the sons of Levi according to their fathers' house, by their families. You shall number them, every male from a month old and upward. ¹⁶ And Moses numbered them according to the word of Jehovah, as he was commanded. ¹⁷ And these were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.

Numbers 3:39

All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the command of Jehovah, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty-two thousand.

Numbers 4:37

These were the ones that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah by the hand of Moses.

According to the command of Jehovah they were numbered by the hand of Moses, everyone according to his service and according to his burden. So they were numbered by him as Jehovah commanded Moses.

Deuteronomy 21:5

And the priests, the sons of Levi, shall come near. For Jehovah your God has chosen them to minister to him, and to bless in the name of Jehovah, and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried.
