For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.

Wherefore I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus,

(having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and your love to all the saints:)

Toward the lord

for we have much joy and comfort in thy love, because by thee, dear brother, the bowels of the saints are refreshed.
