Ye see

Indeed, he greatly missed all of you and was distressed because you heard that he had been ill.

But when they related to him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to transport him, their father Jacob's spirit revived.

Joseph harnessed his chariot and went up to meet his father Israel in Goshen. When he met him, he hugged his neck and wept on his neck for quite some time.

Israel said to Joseph, "I never expected to see you again, but now God has allowed me to see your children too."

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

especially saddened by what he had said, that they were not going to see him again. Then they accompanied him to the ship.

As I remember your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy.

In fact he became so ill that he nearly died. But God showed mercy to him -- and not to him only, but also to me -- so that I would not have grief on top of grief.

And I wrote this very thing to you, so that when I came I would not have sadness from those who ought to make me rejoice, since I am confident in you all that my joy would be yours.

What we have seen and heard we announce to you too, so that you may have fellowship with us (and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ).
