He who makes trouble for his house [is] he who is greedy for unjust gain, but he who hates bribes will live.

Do not desire his delicacies, for it is food of deception.

Then Joab said to the man who [was] telling him, "Look, [if] you saw, why did you not strike him down to the ground there? {I would have gladly given you} ten pieces of silver and a leather belt."

Woe [to] those who plan wickedness and evil deeds upon their beds! In the light of the morning they did it, because they have power in their hands.

Woe to [him who] obtains profit [from] evil gain for his house, to set his nest on high, to be saved from the hand of misfortune!

not addicted to wine, not a violent person, but gentle, peaceable, not loving money,

But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a trap and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge those people into ruin and destruction.

Come now, you rich people, weep [and] cry aloud over the miseries that are coming upon you!

And in greediness they will exploit you with false words, whose condemnation [from] long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

if I have eaten its yield without payment, or I have caused [the] breath of its owners to die,

There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun: wealth {hoarded} by its owner to his harm.
