A fool rejoiceth in foolish things; but a wise man looketh well to his own goings.

A fool doth wickedly and maketh but a sport of it; nevertheless it is wisdom for a man to beware of such.

Take heed therefore that ye walk circumspectly - not as fools, but as wise -

And unto man he said, 'Behold, to fear the LORD is wisdom: and to forsake evil, is understanding.'"

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do thereafter. The praise of it endureth forever.

A fool bringeth up a slander of his neighbour; but a wise man will keep it secret.

Fools make but a sport of sin; but there is favourable love among the righteous.

A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil; but a fool goeth on presumptuously.

Like as one shooteth deadly arrows and darts out of a privy place, even so doth a dissembler with his neighbour.

If any man be wise and endued with learning among you, let him show the works of his good conversation in meekness that is coupled with wisdom.
