Proverbs 16:5

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to Jehovah: Though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

Though hand join in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished; But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

There are six things which Jehovah hateth; Yea, seven which are an abomination unto him:

The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the perverse mouth, do I hate.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore the scripture'saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.

Thou shalt not take the name of Jehovah thy God in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; And tread down the wicked where they stand.

Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him ; for what his hands have done shall be done unto him.

but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness,'shall be wrath and indignation,
