He accompanieth himself with all steadfast and healthsome doctrine, that hath a desire to it and is sequestered from company.

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and keep my commandments by thee,

It is a man's honour to keep himself from strife; but they that have pleasure in brawling, are fools every one.

Take heed therefore that ye walk circumspectly - not as fools, but as wise -

These are makers of sects, fleshly, having no spirit.

for how shall it be known now that both I and thy people have found favour in thy sight, but in that thou goest with us: that both I and thy people have a preeminence before all the people that are upon the face of the earth."

The heart of him that hath understanding will neither despair for any sorrow; nor be too presumptuous for any sudden joy.

Meddle not with him that betrayeth secrets, and is a slanderer, and deceiveth with his lips.

My son, fear thou the LORD and the king, and keep no company with them that slide back from his fear:

Therefore, LORD, we have a respect unto the way of thy judgments; thy name and thy remembrance rejoice the soul.

I dwell not among the council of scorners, neither is my delight therein: but I dwell only in the fear of thy hand, for thou hast filled me with bitterness.
