That which maketh a man to be desired is his kindness; And a poor man is better than a liar.

Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of'silver, and the brass for the things of brass, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood; onyx stones, and'stones to be set, stones for inlaid work, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, that are present here, offer willingly unto thee.

But Jehovah said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart:

My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, As the channel of brooks that pass away;

He that denounceth his friends for a prey, Even the eyes of his children shall fail.

Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.

Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity Than he that is perverse in his lips and is a fool.

And he sat down over against the treasury, and beheld how the multitude cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

But Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

how that in much proof of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according as a man hath, not according as he hath not.

in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before times eternal;
