Bible References

Counsel

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
O my soul, come not into their secret; unto their assembly, my spirit, be not united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they dug down a wall.
He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counselor to do wickedly.
Is it good unto you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile upon the counsel of the wicked?

(The same had not consented to the council and the action of them;) he was of Arimathea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God.

Standeth

My foot stands in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

Therefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Way

Sitteth

I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with hypocrites.
Depart from me, you evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.
I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand: for you have filled me with indignation.

Scornful

How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? and the scoffers delight in their scoffing, and fools hate knowledge?
Surely he scorns the scornful: but he gives grace unto the lowly.
