Psalm 102:5

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.

I am weary from my groaning. Every night my couch is drenched with tears, my bed is soaked through.

When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away by my groaning all day long.

I am weak and utterly crushed; I cry out in distress because of my heart's anguish.

I'm a pile of skin and bones; I have barely escaped by the skin of my teeth."

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit drains one's strength.

Now their faces are blacker than coal; they are unrecognized in the streets. Their skin clings to their bones; it has become dry like a stick.

"Son of Man, eat your bread with trembling and drink your water with quivering and anxiety.
