Psalm 138:1

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

{A Psalm of David.} I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

A psalm of Asaph. God stands in the assembly of El; in the midst of the gods he renders judgment.

I will speak about your regulations before kings and not be ashamed.

"You must not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.

Jesus answered, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, you are gods'?

Paul replied, "I did not realize, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written, 'You must not speak evil about a ruler of your people.'"

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation?

I will give you thanks before the nations, O Master! I will sing praises to you before foreigners!
