Protection From Sin And Sinners

11 O LORD, I call upon You; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to You!

11 {A Psalm of David.} LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

11 Lord, I call on You; hurry to [help] me. Listen to my voice when I call on You.

11 LORD, I call to you, be quick to listen to me when I cry out!

11 Lord, I call upon You; hasten to me. Give ear to my voice when I cry to You.

22 May my prayer be counted as incense before You; The lifting up of my hands as the evening offering.

22 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

22 May my prayer be set before You as incense, the raising of my hands as the evening offering.

22 Let my prayer be like incense offered before you, and my uplifted hands like the evening sacrifice.

22 Let my prayer be set forth as incense before You, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

33 Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.

33 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

33 Lord, set up a guard for my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.

33 LORD, set a guard over my mouth; keep watch over the door to my lips.

33 Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips.

44 Do not incline my heart to any evil thing, To practice deeds of wickedness With men who do iniquity; And do not let me eat of their delicacies.

44 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

44 Do not let my heart turn to any evil thing or wickedly perform reckless acts with men who commit sin. Do not let me feast on their delicacies.

44 Don't let my heart turn toward evil or involve itself in wicked activities with men who practice iniquity. Let me not feast on their delicacies.

44 Incline my heart not to submit or consent to any evil thing or to be occupied in deeds of wickedness with men who work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

55 Let the righteous smite me in kindness and reprove me; It is oil upon the head; Do not let my head refuse it, For still my prayer is against their wicked deeds.

55 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

55 Let the righteous one strike me- it is [an act of] faithful love; let him rebuke me- it is oil for my head; let me not refuse it. Even now my prayer is against the evil acts of the wicked.

55 Let one who is righteous strike me; It is an act of gracious love. Let him rebuke me, because it is oil for my head; do not let my head refuse it. My prayers continuously will be against their wicked activities.

55 Let the righteous man smite and correct me -- "it is a kindness. Oil so choice let not my head refuse or discourage; for even in their evils or calamities shall my prayer continue.

66 Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock, And they hear my words, for they are pleasant.

66 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

66 When their rulers will be thrown off the sides of a cliff, the people will listen to my words, for they are pleasing.

66 When their judges are thrown off the cliff, the people will hear my words, for they are appropriate.

66 When their rulers are overthrown in stony places, [their followers] shall hear my words, that they are sweet (pleasant, mild, and just).

77 As when one plows and breaks open the earth, Our bones have been scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

77 Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

77 As when one plows and breaks up the soil, [turning up rocks], so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of Sheol.

77 Just as one plows and breaks up the earth, our bones are scattered near the entrance to the place of the dead.

77 The unburied bones [of slaughtered rulers] shall lie scattered at the mouth of Sheol, [as unregarded] as the lumps of soil behind the plowman when he breaks open the ground.

88 For my eyes are toward You, O GOD, the Lord; In You I take refuge; do not leave me defenseless.

88 But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

88 But my eyes [look] to You, Lord God . I seek refuge in You; do not let me die.

88 Nevertheless, my eyes are on you, Lord GOD, as I seek protection in you. Don't leave me defenseless!

88 But my eyes are toward You, O God the Lord; in You do I trust and take refuge; pour not out my life nor leave it destitute and bare.

99 Keep me from the jaws of the trap which they have set for me, And from the snares of those who do iniquity.

99 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

99 Protect me from the trap they have set for me, and from the snares of evildoers.

99 Protect me from the trap laid for me and from the snares of those who practice evil.

99 Keep me from the trap which they have laid for me, and the snares of evildoers.

1010 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, While I pass by safely.

1010 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

1010 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass [safely] by.

1010 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I come through. A Davidic Song, when he was in the cave. A prayer.

1010 Let the wicked fall together into their own nets, while I pass over them and escape.
