A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the Lord concerning the words of Cush, a Benjaminite.Yahweh my God, I seek refuge in You;
save me from all my pursuers and rescue me

from the wicked who treat me violently,
my deadly enemies who surround me.

Let those who seek to kill me
be disgraced and humiliated;
let those who plan to harm me
be turned back and ashamed.

For strangers rise up against me,
and violent men seek my life.
