Psalm 17:6

I call upon you, for you will answer me, God. Listen closely to me and hear my prayer.

for he listens to me whenever I call.

In my troubled times I will call on you, for you will answer me.

Look at me! Answer me, LORD, my God! Give light to my eyes! Otherwise, I will sleep in death;

I call upon God, and the LORD will deliver me.

Surely God has heard, and he paid attention to my prayers.

Let my prayer come before you; listen to my cry.

Extend your ear, LORD, and listen! Open your eyes, LORD, and look! Listen to all the words Sennacherib has sent to mock the living God.

So now, LORD our God, save us from his oppressive hand, so that all kingdoms on earth may know that you alone, O LORD, are God."
