As for the wicked, God says, "How dare you recite my statutes or speak about my covenant with your lips!

but with righteousness he will judge the needy, and decide with equity for earth's poor. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and the wicked will be killed with the breath of his lips.

"Listen to that uproar in the city! Listen to that noise from the Temple! It is the sound of the LORD paying back retribution to his enemies!

Then the king became outraged. He sent his troops, and they destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

You snakes, you children of serpents! How can you escape being condemned to hell?

But as for these enemies of mine who didn't want me to be their king bring them here and slaughter them in my presence!'"

In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp, two-edged sword. His face was like the sun when it shines with full force.

A sharp sword comes out of his mouth to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod and tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
