1 A Davidic psalm.The Lord is my shepherd;(A)there is nothing I lack.(B)

1 {A Psalm of David.} The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

1 The LORD is the one who is shepherding me; I lack nothing.

1 The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me],(A)I shall not want.

2 He lets me lie down in green pastures;(C)He leads me beside quiet waters.(D)

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

2 He makes me lie down in (C)green pastures;He (D)leads me beside (b)(E)quiet waters.

2 He causes me to lie down in pastures of green grass; he guides me beside quiet waters.

2 He lets me lie down in green pastures;He leads me beside the still and quiet waters.(B)

3 He renews my life;He leads me along the right paths(a)for His name’s sake.(E)

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

3 He (F)restores my soul;He (G)guides me in the (c)(H)paths of righteousnessFor His name’s sake.

3 He revives my life; he leads me in pathways that are righteous for the sake of his name.

4 Even when I go through the darkest valley,(b)I fear no danger,for You are with me;(F)Your rod and Your staff(c)—they comfort me.(G)

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Only goodness and faithful love will pursue meall the days of my life,(J)and I will dwell in(d) the house of the Lordas long as I live.(e)(K)

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

6 (g)Surely (P)goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,And I will (h)(Q)dwell in the house of the Lord (i)forever.

6 Truly, goodness and gracious love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will remain in the LORD's Temple forever. A Davidic Psalm.

6 Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life,And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the Lord.
