1 The earth (a)is the Lord’s, and the fullness of it,The world, and those who dwell in it.(A)

1 A Psalm of David.The (A)earth is the Lord’s, and (a)all it contains,The (B)world, and those who dwell in it.

1 {A Psalm of David.} The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

1 A Davidic psalm.The earth and everything in it,the world and its inhabitants,belong to the Lord;(A)

1 The earth and everything in it exists for the LORD the world and those who live in it.

2 For He has founded it upon the seasAnd established it upon the streams and the rivers.

2 For He has (C)founded it upon the seasAnd established it upon the rivers.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

2 for He laid its foundation on the seasand established it on the rivers.(B)

2 Indeed, he founded it upon the seas, he established it upon deep waters.

3 Who may ascend onto the (b)mountain of the Lord?And who may stand in His holy place?

3 Who may (D)ascend into the (E)hill of the Lord?And who may stand in His holy (F)place?

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

3 Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his Holy Place?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,Who has not lifted up his soul to what is false,Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully.(B)

4 He who has (G)clean hands and a (H)pure heart,Who has not (I)lifted up his soul (b)to falsehoodAnd has not (J)sworn deceitfully.

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,(D)who has not set his mind(a) on what is false,(E)and who has not sworn deceitfully.

4 The one who has innocent hands and a pure heart; the person who does not delight in what is false and does not swear an oath deceitfully.

5 He shall receive a blessing from the Lord,And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5 He will receive blessing from the Lord,(F)and righteousness from the God of his salvation.(G)

5 This person will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation (description) of those who diligently seek Him and require Him as their greatest need,Who seek Your face, even [as did] Jacob.(C) Selah.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O gates,And be lifted up, ancient doors,That the King of glory may come in.
