Psalm 29:9

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you observe the calving of the deer?

I look for you in the holy place to see your power and your glory.

This wickedness is like a brushfire. It burns not only briers and thorns but the forests, too. It sends up vast clouds of smoke.

It will completely destroy the splendor of his forests and fertile fields, as when a sick man wastes away.

Son of man, turn to the south, preach against the south, and prophesy against the forest in the Negev.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea.

We have thought about (considered) (compared) your loving-kindness, O God, in the midst of your Temple.

Bless Jehovah all you servants of Jehovah. You who serve by night in the house of Jehovah!

Praise Jehovah! Praise the name of Jehovah. Praise him you servants of Jehovah.
