Psalm 41:11

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

Then my enemy will say, "I have defeated him!" Then my foes will rejoice because I am upended.

You do not deliver me over to the power of the enemy; you enable me to stand in a wide open place.

Do not let them say to themselves, "Aha! We have what we wanted!" Do not let them say, "We have devoured him!"

Show me evidence of your favor! Then those who hate me will see it and be ashamed, for you, O Lord, will help me and comfort me.

The Lord deserves praise, for he did not hand us over as prey to their teeth.

Sing to the Lord! Praise the Lord! For he rescues the oppressed from the clutches of evildoers.

Disarming the rulers and authorities, he has made a public disgrace of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
