Haman then recounted to them his fabulous wealth, his many sons, and how the king had magnified him and exalted him over the king's other officials and servants.

So they hanged Haman on the very gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. The king's rage then abated.

Understandeth

Is not their excess wealth taken away from them? They die, yet without attaining wisdom.

Is like

Surely you put them in slippery places; you bring them down to ruin.

I also thought to myself, "It is for the sake of people, so God can clearly show them that they are like animals.
