Psalm 5:1

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

{To the chief Musician upon Nehiloth, A Psalm of David.} Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.

Hear the right, O LORD, attend to my cry. Give ear to my prayer, that goes not out of feigned lips.

Hear my prayer, O God. Give ear to the words of my mouth.

Give ear to my prayer, O God, and hide not thyself from my supplication.

Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou who lead Joseph like a flock. Thou who sit [above] the cherubim, shine forth.

Bow down thine ear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.

Because the eyes of Lord are toward the righteous, and his ears to their supplication, but the face of Lord is against men who do evil things.

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my rock, and my redeemer.

Now Hannah, she spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

Show me thy ways, O LORD. Teach me thy paths.

Hear my prayer, O God. Give ear to the words of my mouth.

Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer, and hearken to the voice of my supplications.
