Psalm 54:3

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

My own brothers treat me like a stranger; they act as if I were a foreigner.

O God, arrogant men attack me; a gang of ruthless men, who do not respect you, seek my life.

"He has put my relatives far from me; my acquaintances only turn away from me.

Yes, wild dogs surround me -- a gang of evil men crowd around me; like a lion they pin my hands and feet.

For look, they wait to ambush me; powerful men stalk me, but not because I have rebelled or sinned, O Lord.

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus killed.

I constantly trust in the Lord; because he is at my right hand, I will not be upended.

For the music director; written by the Lord's servant, David; an oracle. An evil man is rebellious to the core. He does not fear God,

All those who behave wickedly do not understand -- those who devour my people as if they were eating bread, and do not call out to God.

They will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.
