{A Prayer of David} Hear the right, O LORD; consider my complaint, and hearken unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
Hear the voice of my humble petitions, when I cry unto thee, when I hold up my hands towards the mercy seat of thy holy temple.
{To the Chanter, in Neginoth, an instruction of David} Hear my prayer, O God, and hide not thyself from my petition.
O let thine ears consider well the voice of my complaint.
Be not careful: but in all things show your petition unto God in prayer and supplication with giving of thanks.
