Psalm 64:1

Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

Keep me as the apple of the eye. Hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

For I have heard the slander of many. Fear [was] on every side, while they took counsel together against me. They devised to take away my life.

I sought LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Give ear to my prayer, O God, and hide not thyself from my supplication.

My enemies would swallow me up all the day long, for they are many who fight proudly against me.

Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O LORD.

Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man. Preserve me from the violent man,

LORD, I have called upon thee. Make haste to me. Give ear to my voice when I call to thee.

Hear my prayer, O LORD. Give ear to my supplications. In thy faithfulness answer me, [and] in thy righteousness.

I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the lowest dungeon.

And the Lord spoke to Paul by a vision at night, Fear not, but speak, and be not silent,

saying, Fear not, Paul. Thou must stand before Caesar, and lo, God has granted thee all those sailing with thee.
