Psalm 64:1

([Psalm of David]) Listen to my concerns, O God, and protect me from my terrible enemies.

Keep me as if I were the pupil (apple) of your eye (center of attention). Hide me in the shadow of your wings.

Hear O Jehovah when I cry with my voice. Be gracious to me and answer me.

I have heard the whispering of many people, terror on every side, while they made plans together against me. They were plotting to take my life.

I went to Jehovah for help. He answered me and rescued me from all my fears.

([Psalm of David]) Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not hide from my plea for favor.

My foes have trampled upon me all day long. They are many who fight proudly against me.

Out of the depths of despair I have cried to you, O Jehovah.

([Psalm of David]) Rescue me from evil people, O Jehovah. Keep me safe from violent people.

([Psalm of David]) O Jehovah I cry out to you: Come quickly. Give ear to my voice (Listen to me) when I cry out to you.

([Psalm of David]) Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, Give ear to my supplications! Answer me in your faithfulness. Answer me in your righteousness!

I called out your name in prayer, O Jehovah, out of the lowest prison.

The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision: Do not be afraid, but speak. Do not keep silent!

He said, Paul, do not be afraid. You must stand before Caessar and God has graciously given you the lives of you and all who sail with you.
