Psalm 73:22

So foolish was I, and ignorant, even as it were a beast before thee.

An unwise man will not know this, and a fool will not understand it -

I communed with mine own heart also concerning the children of men: how God hath chosen them, and yet letteth them appear as though they were beasts.

For he seeth that wise men also die and perish together, as well as the ignorant and foolish, and leave their riches for others.

Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed so vile in your sight?

Be ye not like to horse and mule, which have no understanding, whose mouths must be held with bit and bridle, if they will not obey thee.

God, thou knowest my simpleness, and my faults are not hid from thee.

For though I am the least of all, and have no man's understanding

The ox knoweth his owner, and the Ass his master's crib; but Israel knoweth nothing. My people hath no understanding.
