Psalm 73:22

I was ignorant and lacked insight; I was as senseless as an animal before you.

The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this.

I also thought to myself, "It is for the sake of people, so God can clearly show them that they are like animals.

Surely one sees that even wise people die; fools and spiritually insensitive people all pass away and leave their wealth to others.

Why should we be regarded as beasts, and considered stupid in your sight?

Do not be like an unintelligent horse or mule, which will not obey you unless they are controlled by a bridle and bit.

O God, you are aware of my foolish sins; my guilt is not hidden from you.

Surely I am more brutish than any other human being, and I do not have human understanding;

An ox recognizes its owner, a donkey recognizes where its owner puts its food; but Israel does not recognize me, my people do not understand."
