6 For not from the east, nor from the west,Nor from the (e)(J)desert comes exaltation;

6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

6 Exaltation does not comefrom the east, the west, or the desert,

7 And why? God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

7 But (K)God is the Judge;He (L)puts down one and exalts another.

7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

7 for God is the Judge:He brings down one and exalts another.(G)

8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full mixed, and he poureth out of the same. As for the dregs thereof, all the ungodly of the earth shall drink them, and suck them out.

8 For a (M)cup is in the hand of the Lord, and the wine foams;It is (f)(N)well mixed, and He pours out of this;Surely all the wicked of the earth must drain and (O)drink down its dregs.

8 For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

8 For there is a cup in the Lord’s hand,full of wine blended with spices, and He pours from it.All the wicked of the earth will drink,draining it to the dregs.(H)

8 For there is a cup in the hand of the LORD, foaming with well-mixed wine that he will pour out, leaving only the dregs, from which all the wicked of the earth will drink.

9 But as for me, I will (P)declare it forever;I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

9 But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

9 As for me, I will tell about Him forever;I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.(I)
