[A Psalm of Asaph.] God stands in the congregation of the mighty; he judges among the gods.
And said to the judges, Take heed what you do: for you judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.
Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him forever.
So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God who judges in the earth.
If you see the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of justice and righteousness in a province, marvel not at the matter: for the high official is watched by a higher one; and there are yet higher ones over them.
The LORD stands up to plead, and stands to judge the people.
Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
[A Psalm of David.] I will praise you with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto you.
