{A Psalm of Asaph} God standeth in the congregation of princes, and is a Judge among the judges.

and said to the judges, "Take heed what ye do: for ye be not judges in the law of man, but of the LORD - which is with you in the words of the law.

Then let his master bring him unto the judges and set him to the door or the doorpost, and bore his ear through with an awl, and let him be his servant forever.

"Thou shalt not rail upon the judges, neither curse the ruler of thy people.

So that men shall say, "Verily there is a reward for the righteous! Doubtless, there is a God that judgeth the earth!"

If thou seest the poor to be oppressed and wrongfully dealt withal, so that equity and the right of the law is wrested in the land: marvel not thou at such judgment, for one great man keepeth touch with another, and the mighty help themselves together.

The LORD is risen up to commune of the matter, and standeth to give judgment with the people.

Moreover, seek out, among all the people, men of activity which fear God; and men that are true and hate covetousness: and make them heads over the people, captains over thousands, over hundreds, over fifty, and over ten.

I have said, "Ye are gods, and ye are all the children of the most highest.

{Of David} I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; even before the gods will I sing praises unto thee.

If he called them gods unto whom the word of God was spoken - and the scripture cannot be broken -
