I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men;

He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.'

He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire."

Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." Having said this, he breathed his last.

So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, "Father, I thank you that you listened to me.

Jesus said to her, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers, and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"

For to which of the angels did he say at any time, "You are my Son. Today have I become your father?" and again, "I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?"

Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God.

At the ninth hour Jesus called out with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Rock

The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress?I will never be greatly shaken.

Oh come, let's sing to the LORD. Let's shout aloud to the rock of our salvation.

The LORD lives. Blessed be my rock. Exalted be God, the rock of my salvation,

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed.
