Psalm 89:4

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God shall give him the throne of David his father,

And he said to them, How do they say that the Christ is the son of David?

And we declare to you the good news of the promise made to the fathers,

And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he shall stand up to rule nations, in him shall nations hope.

Wherefore God also highly exalted him, and gave him a name which is above every name,

I Jesus sent my angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright star of the morning.
