May Mount Zion be glad and the cities of Judah rejoice because of your judgments.

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish,

The Egyptians will know that I am Jehovah when I use my power against Egypt and bring the sons of Israel out of there.

I will make him stubborn. He will pursue you. My victory over the king and his army will bring me honor. Then the Egyptians will know that I am Jehovah! The Israelites did as they were told.

The next generation of your children and foreigners who come from distant countries will see the plagues that have happened in this land and the diseases Jehovah sent here.

We heard how Jehovah dried up the water of the Red sea for you when you came out of Egypt. And what you did to the two kings of the Amorites that were on the other side of Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.

And Adoni-bezek said: Seventy kings with their big toes cut off have gathered food scrapes under my table. God has repaid me for what I have done. So they brought him to Jerusalem where he died.

Some of the men of Bethshemesh looked inside the Ark. Jehovah killed seventy of them. This made the people of Bethshemesh very sad.

Today Jehovah will help me defeat you. I will knock you down and cut off your head! I will feed the bodies of the other Philistine soldiers to the birds and wild animals. Then the whole world will know that Israel has a real God.

Rescue us from Assyria's control, O Jehovah our God, so that all the kingdoms on earth will know that you alone are Jehovah God.

Wicked

He rains down fire and burning sulfur upon wicked people. He makes them drink from a cup filled with scorching wind.

Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with their own threats.

You are snared with the words of your mouth. You are captured by the words of your mouth!

The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips. The righteous will depart from trouble.

Many will stumble over them. They will fall and be broken. They will be trapped and caught.

But the word of Jehovah to them was: Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little, that they might go and fall backward, and be broken and snared and caught.

Amasa's body was covered with blood in the middle of the road. Joab's man saw that everybody was stopped. He dragged the body from the road out into the field and threw a blanket over it.

They lie in wait for their own blood (murder). They set an ambush for their own lives.

So they will know that I am Jehovah when I scatter them among the nations and spread them among the countries.

Then they will know that I am Jehovah, because I will bring punishment on Egypt.
