And those that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them and make merry and shall send gifts one to another because these two prophets tormented those that dwelt on the earth.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the entire world, to try those that dwell upon the earth.

Then he said unto them, Go, eat the fat, and drink sweet wine, and send portions unto those who have nothing prepared; for this day is holy unto our Lord, and not sad; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Therefore, the Jews of the villages that dwelt in the unwalled towns made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and banquet and a good day and of sending portions one to another.

lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

Let not those that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those that hate me wink with the eye without a cause.

Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

When they heard these things, they were divided in their hearts and gnashed on him with their teeth.

But the disobedient Jews, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort and gathered a company and set all the city on an uproar and assaulted the house of Jason and sought to bring them out to the people.

rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

And if anyone desires to hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth and devours their enemies; and if anyone desires to hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
