But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
And he will bring me to the enclosure without, and behold, cells and a tesselated pavement made to the enclosure round about, round about: thirty cells to the tesselated pavement.
To the four winds he measured it: the wall to it round about, round about, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to separate between the holy to the profane.

The cities of thy holy place were desert; Zion was a desert., Jerusalem a desolation.
