The Three Angels And Their Messages

6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, and he had an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth -- to every nation, tribe, language, and people.

6 And I saw another angel flying in (V)midheaven, having (W)an eternal gospel to preach to (X)those who (c)live on the earth, and to (Y)every nation and tribe and tongue and people;

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

6 Then I saw another angel flying high overhead,(I) having the eternal gospel to announce to the inhabitants of the earth—to every nation, tribe, language, and people.(J)

6 Then I saw another angel flying overhead with the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on earth to every nation, tribe, language, and people.

7 He declared in a loud voice: "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has arrived, and worship the one who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water!"

7 and he said with a loud voice, “(Z)Fear God, and (AA)give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who (AB)made the heaven and the earth and sea and (AC)springs of waters.”

7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

7 He spoke with a loud voice: “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”

7 He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the time for him to judge has arrived. Worship the one who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water."

8 A second angel followed the first, declaring: "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great city! She made all the nations drink of the wine of her immoral passion."

8 And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “(d)(AD)Fallen, fallen is (AE)Babylon the great, she who has (AF)made all the nations drink of the (AG)wine of the (e)passion of her immorality.”

8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

8 A second angel(f) followed, saying: “It has fallen, Babylon the Great has fallen,(g) who made all nations drink the wine of her sexual immorality,(h) which brings wrath.”(K)

8 Then another angel, a second one, followed him, saying, "Fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen! She has made all nations drink the wine, the wrath earned for her sexual sins."

9 A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand,

9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone (AH)worships the beast and his (AI)image, and receives a (AJ)mark on his forehead or on his hand,

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

9 And a third angel(i) followed them and spoke with a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,

9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying in a loud voice, "Whoever worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or his hand

10 that person will also drink of the wine of God's anger that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb.

10 he also will drink of the (AK)wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed (f)in full strength (AL)in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with (AM)fire and (g)brimstone in the presence of the (AN)holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

10 he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is mixed full strength in the cup of His anger.(L) He will be tormented with fire and sulfur(M) in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb,

10 will drink the wine of God's wrath, which has been poured undiluted into the cup of his anger. He will be tortured with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the lamb.

11 And the smoke from their torture will go up forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, along with anyone who receives the mark of his name."

11 And the (AO)smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; (AP)they have no rest day and night, those who (AQ)worship the beast and his (AR)image, and (h)whoever receives the (AS)mark of his name.”

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

11 and the smoke of their torment will go up forever and ever.(N) There is no rest(j) day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or anyone who receives the mark of his name.

11 The smoke from their torture goes up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image or for anyone who receives the mark of its name."

12 This requires the steadfast endurance of the saints -- those who obey God's commandments and hold to their faith in Jesus.

12 Here is (AT)the (i)perseverance of the (j)saints who (AU)keep the commandments of God and (k)(AV)their faith in Jesus.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

12 This demands the perseverance(k) of the saints,(O) who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.”(l)

12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to their faithfulness in Jesus:

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write this: 'Blessed are the dead, those who die in the Lord from this moment on!'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "so they can rest from their hard work, because their deeds will follow them."

13 And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write, ‘(AW)Blessed are the dead who (AX)die in the Lord from now on!’” “Yes,” (AY)says the Spirit, “so that they may (AZ)rest from their labors, for their (BA)deeds follow with them.”

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: The dead who die in the Lord from now on are blessed.”(P)“Yes,” says the Spirit, “let them rest from their labors, for their works follow them!”

13 I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write this: How blessed are the dead, that is, those who die in the Lord from now on!" "Yes," says the Spirit. "Let them rest from their labors, for their actions follow them."

The Earth Is Harvested

14 Then I looked, and a white cloud appeared, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man! He had a golden crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.

14 Then I looked, and behold, a (BB)white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one (BC)like (l)a son of man, having a golden (BD)crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.

14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

14 Then I looked, and there was a white cloud, and One like the Son of Man(m)(Q) was seated on the cloud, with a gold crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.

14 Then I looked, and there was a white cloud! On the cloud sat someone who was like the Son of Man, with a gold victor's crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.

15 Then another angel came out of the temple, shouting in a loud voice to the one seated on the cloud, "Use your sickle and start to reap, because the time to reap has come, since the earth's harvest is ripe!"

15 And another angel (BE)came out of the (m)temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “(n)(BF)Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the (BG)harvest of the earth (o)is ripe.”

15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

15 Another angel came out of the sanctuary, crying out in a loud voice to the One who was seated on the cloud, “Use your sickle and reap, for the time to reap has come, since the harvest of the earth is ripe.”(R)

15 Another angel came out of the Temple, crying out in a loud voice to the one who sat on the cloud, "Swing your sickle, and gather the harvest, for the hour has come to gather it, because the harvest of the earth is fully ripe."

16 So the one seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

16 Then He who sat on the cloud (p)swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.

16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

16 So the One seated on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

16 The one who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was harvested.

17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.

17 And another angel (BH)came out of the (q)temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle.

17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

17 Then another angel who also had a sharp sickle came out of the sanctuary in heaven.

17 Then another angel came out of the Temple in heaven. He, too, had a sharp sickle.

18 Another angel, who was in charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp sickle, "Use your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes off the vine of the earth, because its grapes are now ripe."

18 Then another angel, (BI)the one who has power over fire, came out from (BJ)the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “(r)(BK)Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters (s)from the vine of the earth, (BL)because her grapes are ripe.”

18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

18 Yet another angel, who had authority over fire, came from the altar, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Use your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from earth’s vineyard, because its grapes have ripened.”

18 From the altar came another angel who had authority over fire. He called out in a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp sickle, "Swing your sharp sickle, and gather the bunches of grapes from the vine of the earth, because those grapes are ripe."

19 So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and gathered the grapes from the vineyard of the earth and tossed them into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

19 So the angel (t)swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into (BM)the great wine press of the wrath of God.

19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

19 So the angel swung his sickle toward earth and gathered the grapes from earth’s vineyard, and he threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath.(S)

19 So the angel swung his sickle in the earth, gathered the grapes from the earth, and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath.

20 Then the winepress was stomped outside the city, and blood poured out of the winepress up to the height of horses' bridles for a distance of almost two hundred miles.

20 And (BN)the wine press was trodden (BO)outside the city, and (BP)blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, (u)for a distance of (v)two hundred miles.

20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

20 Then the press was trampled outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press up to the horses’ bridles for about 180 miles.(n)(T)

20 The wine press was trampled outside the city, and blood flowed from the wine press as high as a horse's bridle for about 1,600 stadia.
