The Seven Bowls Of The Wrath Of God

1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple, saying to the seven agents, Go ye and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God into the earth.

1 Then I heard a loud voice from (A)the (a)temple, saying to the (B)seven angels, “Go and (C)pour out (b)on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

1 Then I heard a loud voice from the sanctuary saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven(a) bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”

1 Then I heard a loud voice from the Temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth."

2 And the first went and poured out his bowl into the earth, and a bad and evil sore developed upon the men who have the mark of the beast and who worship its image.

2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl (c)(D)on the earth; and it became a loathsome and malignant (E)sore on the (d)people (F)who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

2 The first went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and severely painful sores(b)(A) broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

2 So the first angel went and poured his bowl on the earth. A horrible, painful sore appeared on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshipped the image.

The Second Bowl

3 And the second agent poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like of a dead man, and every living soul in the sea died.

3 The second angel poured out his bowl (G)into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living (e)thing in the sea died.

3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

3 The second(c) poured out his bowl into the sea. It turned to blood like a dead man’s, and all life(d) in the sea died.(B)

3 The second angel poured his bowl into the sea. It became like the blood of a dead body, and every living thing in the sea died.

The Third Bowl

4 And the third agent poured out his bowl into the rivers and into the springs of the waters, and they became blood.

4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the (H)rivers and the springs of waters; and they (I)became blood.

4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

5 And I heard the agent of the waters saying, Thou are righteous who is and was--the Divine--because thou judged these things.

5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “(J)Righteous are You, (K)who are and who were, O (L)Holy One, because You (M)judged these things;

5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

5 I heard the angel of the waters say:You are righteous,who is and who was,(D) the Holy One,for You have decided these things.

5 Then I heard the angel in charge of the water say, "You are just. You are the one who is and who was, the Holy One, because you have judged these things.

6 Because they poured out the blood of the sanctified and prophets, and thou have given them blood to drink--they are deserving.

6 for they poured out (N)the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them (O)blood to drink. They (f)deserve it.”

6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

6 Because they poured outthe blood of the saints and the prophets,You also gave them blood to drink;they deserve it!(E)

6 You have given them blood to drink because they spilled the blood of saints and prophets. This is what they deserve."

7 And I heard the altar saying, Yea, Lord God Almighty, TRUE and righteous are thy judgments.

7 And I heard (P)the altar saying, “Yes, O (Q)Lord God, the Almighty, (R)true and righteous are Your judgments.”

7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

7 Then I heard someone from the altar say:Yes, Lord God, the Almighty,true and righteous are Your judgments.(F)

7 Then I heard the altar reply, "Yes, Lord God Almighty, your judgments are true and just."

The Fourth Bowl

8 And the fourth agent poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given him to scorch men with fire.

8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon (S)the sun, (T)and it was given to it to scorch men with fire.

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

8 The fourth(f) poured out his bowl on the sun. He(g) was given the power(h) to burn people with fire,

8 The fourth angel poured his bowl on the sun, which then was allowed to burn people with fire,

9 And the men were scorched with great heat. And the men blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues, and they did not repent to give him glory.

9 Men were scorched with (g)fierce heat; and they (U)blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they (V)did not repent so as to (W)give Him glory.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

9 and people were burned by the intense heat. So they blasphemed the name of God,(G) who had the power(i) over these plagues, and they did not repent and give Him glory.

9 and they were burned by the fierce heat. They cursed the name of God, who has the authority over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.

The Fifth Bowl

10 And the fifth agent poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast, and its kingdom became darkened, and they gnawed their tongues from the anguish.

10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the (X)throne of the beast, and his kingdom became (Y)darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain,

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

10 The fifth(j) poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast,(H) and his kingdom was plunged into darkness.(I) People(k) gnawed their tongues because of their pain

10 The fifth angel poured his bowl on the throne of the beast. Its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed on their tongues in anguish

11 And they blasphemed the God of heaven from their pains and from their sores. And they did not repent of their works.

11 and they (Z)blasphemed the (AA)God of heaven because of their pains and their (AB)sores; and they (AC)did not repent of their deeds.

11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pain-filled sores. But they did not repent of their behavior.

The Sixth Bowl

12 And the sixth agent poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and the water of it was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the sun-rising might be prepared.

12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the (AD)great river, the Euphrates; and (AE)its water was dried up, so that (AF)the way would be prepared for the kings (AG)from the (h)east.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

13 And I saw out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the FALSE prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs.

13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the (AH)dragon and out of the mouth of the (AI)beast and out of the mouth of the (AJ)false prophet, three (AK)unclean spirits like (AL)frogs;

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

13 Then I saw three unclean spirits like frogs(L) coming from the dragon’s mouth,(M) from the beast’s mouth,(N) and from the mouth of the false prophet.(O)

13 Then I saw three disgusting spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are spirits of demons, doing signs that go forth to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together to the battle of that great day of the Almighty God.

14 for they are (AM)spirits of demons, (AN)performing signs, which go out to the kings of the (AO)whole (i)world, to (AP)gather them together for the war of the (AQ)great day of God, the Almighty.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

14 For they are spirits of demons performing signs,(P) who travel to the kings of the whole world to assemble them for the battle of the great day of God, the Almighty.(Q)

14 They are demonic spirits that perform signs. They go to the kings of the whole earth and gather them for the war of the great Day of God Almighty.

15 (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, so that he may not walk naked, and they see his shame.)

15 (“Behold, (AR)I am coming like a thief. (AS)Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, (AT)so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”)

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

15 “Look, I am coming like a thief. The one who is alert and remains clothed(m)(R) so that he may not go around naked and people see his shame(S) is blessed.”(T)

15 "See, I am coming like a thief. How blessed is the person who remains alert and keeps his clothes on! He won't have to go naked and let others see his shame."

16 And he gathered them together into the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.

16 And they (AU)gathered them together to the place which (AV)in Hebrew is called (j)(AW)Har-Magedon.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

16 So they assembled them at the place called in Hebrew, Armagedon.(n)(o)(U)

16 The spirits gathered the kings to the place that is called Armageddon in Hebrew.

The Seventh Bowl

17 And the seventh agent poured out his bowl upon the air, and a great voice came forth out of the temple of heaven, out of the throne, saying, It has come to pass.

17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon (AX)the air, and a (AY)loud voice came out of the (k)(AZ)temple from the throne, saying, “(BA)It is done.”

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

17 Then the seventh(p) poured out his bowl into the air,(q) and a loud voice came out of the sanctuary(r)(V) from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

17 The seventh angel threw the contents of his bowl across the sky. A loud voice came from the throne in the Temple and said, "It has happened!"

18 And there occurred lightnings, and thunders, and voices. And a great earthquake occurred, such as did not happen from that time men came to be upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, so great.

18 And there were flashes of (BB)lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was (BC)a great earthquake, (BD)such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty.

18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

18 There were flashes of lightning and rumblings of thunder. And a severe earthquake occurred like no other since man has been on the earth—so great was the quake.(W)

18 There were flashes of lightning, noises, peals of thunder, and a powerful earthquake. There has never been such a powerful earthquake since people have been on the earth.

19 And the great city became in three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And the great Babylon was remembered before God, to give to it the cup of the wine of the wrath of his anger.

19 (BE)The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the (l)nations fell. (BF)Babylon the great was (BG)remembered before God, to give her (BH)the cup of the wine of (m)His fierce wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

21 And great hail, like a talent weight, descended out of the sky upon men. And the men blasphemed God from the plague of the hail, because the plague of it was exceedingly great.

21 And (BJ)huge (n)hailstones, about (o)one hundred pounds each, *came down from heaven upon men; and men (BK)blasphemed God because of the (BL)plague of the hail, because its plague *was extremely (p)severe.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

21 Enormous hailstones, each weighing about 100 pounds,(u) fell from the sky on people, and they blasphemed God(AA) for the plague of hail because that plague was extremely severe.(AB)

21 Huge hailstones, each weighing about a talent, fell from the sky on people, who cursed God because the plague of hail was so terrible.
