Summary

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Counsel

I will bless Jehovah, who has given me wisdom; my heart also instructs me in the nights.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you, My eye shall be on you.
You shall lead me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
because they rebelled against the Words of God, and despised the advice of the Most High.
but you have despised all my advice, and would have none of my warning.
Hear advice, and receive instruction, so that you may be wise in your latter end.
I say, Keep the king's word, and that, because of the oath of God.

Buy

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat. Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Again, the kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which when a man has found it, he hides it, and for the joy of it goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.
But the wise answered, saying, No, lest there be not enough for us and you. But rather go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.

Gold

And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may be offerers of a food offering in righteousness to Jehovah.
And if anyone builds on this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble,
so that the trial of your faith (being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, but being proven through fire) might be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

That thou

I know your works and tribulation and poverty (but you are rich), and I know the blasphemy of those saying themselves to be Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
So is he who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor, in order that you might be made rich through His poverty.
that they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to share, to be generous,
Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those who love Him?

White

You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments. And they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
And one of the elders answered, saying to me, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes, and from where do they come?
Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white. For the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints.
if indeed in being clothed, we shall not be found naked.

The shame

Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is the one who watches and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.
Your nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, your shame shall be seen; I will take vengeance and I will not meet you as a man.
So I also have stripped off your skirts over your face, that your shame may appear.
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Pass over to them, O dweller of Shaphir, in nakedness of shame. The dweller of Zaanan has not gone out; the mourning of Beth-ezel shall take from you his standing.
Behold, I am against you, says Jehovah of Hosts; and I will uncover your skirts upon your face. And I will cause the nations to see your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame.

Anoint

And when He had spoken these things, He spat on the ground and made clay from the spittle. And He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.
