Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
But now, apart from law, a righteousness of God hath been manifested, borne witness to by the law and the prophets, -
For what? If some distrusted, shall their distrust make, the trust of God, void?
Lo! as for the conceited one, crooked is his soul within him,- but, one who is righteous, by his faithfulness, shall live.
He that believeth on the Son, hath life age-abiding: whereas, he that yieldeth not unto the Son, shall not see life, - but, the anger of God, awaiteth him.
Moreover, that, in law, no one, is declared righteous with God, is evident, - because, The righteous one, by faith, shall live;
And be found in him - not having a righteousness of my own, that which is by law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is, of God, upon my faith, -
But, my righteous one, by faith, shall live, and, if he draw back, my soul delighteth not in him.
But, apart from faith, it is impossible to be well-pleasing; for he that approacheth unto God - must needs have faith, that he is, and that, to them who seek him out, a rewarder he becometh.
